Computer science is one of the most expansive, innovative, and adaptive areas of knowledge today. At the University of Illinois at Springfield, the Department of Computer Science prepares students for challenging careers as professionals in the public and private sectors.
The B.S. in Information Systems Security is designed to provide a foundation in Information Systems Security, which will include design and implementation of secure systems, security assessment, and computer security ethics. Our graduates will understand critical concepts in Information Systems Security, be able to demonstrate and communicate best security practices, design and implement secure systems, adhere to and promote ethical standards.
