Admission Deadline: Fall: July 15 | Spring: November 15 Description: The Advanced Practice Forensic Nurse Certificate Program is a graduate program sponsored by the UIC College of Nursing (CON). It has been developed to educate and prepare advanced practice nurses to assist victims of all ages and help their families deal with the physical, psychological and legal implications of violent crimes in urban, rural and medically underserved areas. This program will be highly individualized and clinically focused in order to provide the student hands-on, comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and evidence-based care. Our nurses will be able to assist patients who are victims of violent crimes. Admission Requirement(s): The following criteria must be met for admission: 1. Enrolled in one of our master’s or doctoral programs or have a master's or higher degree in nursing. 2. Licensed Registered Nurse in at least one political jurisdiction.
