Program Type: Master's Degree Award Conferred: Master of Arts Admission Deadline: For Fall 2007 admission, March 15th Description: The graduate program in legal studies presents a course of study in public law, emphasizing law as a social phenomenon as well as a technical body of rules. The program emphasizes analytical and conceptual thinking, legal research and writing, substantive areas of the law, concerns of ethical and public interest, public advocacy skills, and the role of law in society. Admission Requirement(s): To be considered for admission into the program, you must have:
1. earned a bachelor's degree; 2. achieved cummulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0; 3. completed both program and university admission application forms and processes; and 4. submitted a writing sample to the LES Program office.
Full admission will not be granted to graduate students with less than a 2.5 average, however conditional admission would be considered.
