Program Type: Bachelor's Degree Description: The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree provides students with a broad course of study that will prepare them for employment in private or public organizations of any size. Building on the core areas of finance, marketing, information management, operations management and organizational behavior, the BBA degree program enables pursue advance coursework in their areas of interest as well as to build competencies in legal issues, critical thinking, analysis and decision making.
1. Completion of foundation courses in accounting, mathematics, statistics and behavioral sciences. See BBA Entrance Requirements.
2. Completion of university lower division general education requirements. See UIS General Education Requirements.
3. Non-native English speakers must attain a score of no less than 500 (paper based), 173 (computer based) or 61 (internet based) on the standard TOEFL test.
4. Preference will be given to students who:
complete at least 54 hours of college credit with an overall grade point average of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale (from an accredited college or university.)
demonstrate a need for online course work because of distance, work or care giving issues that are incompatible with regularly scheduled class offerings.

The letter should not exceed 750 words and should describe your:
academic background
career plans
experience with online learning
rationale for pursuing an online rather than face-to-face degree
intentions regarding course completion
Letters of reference attesting to your ability to pursue your educational goals in an online environment are recommended (but not required.)
Enrollment Capacity:
Each fall, the business administration program will admit up to 30 online students. Students who qualify for admission to the program but who are not admitted due to space constraints will be placed on a waiting list.

Current per credit hour rates can be found by clicking here. In addition, online courses are assessed a $25 per credit hour technology fee. Students who are taking all of their courses online are exempt from certain fees assessed to on campus students. Click here for further details.
UIS has implemented a special tuition rate that applies only to online courses. This rate is termed “electronic tuition” or simply “E-tuition”. The following students will qualify for E-tuition:
All Illinois residents who have applied and been admitted as a degree-seeking student in an online program and take only online courses.
