Special Instructions:

This course includes a study of the fundamental concept and design principle of wireless and mobile networks. Emphasis is placed on how wireless systems work, how mobility is supported, how communication infrastructure underlies such systems, and what message exchanges are needed among functional components. Topics include wireless transmission fundamentals, channel coding, error detection and correction, CDMA, CSMA/CA, cellular networks, IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi), mobile IP, wireless TCP, and mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs).
