UIC TIMS Project Launching Math Trailblazers PDP
The Teaching
Integrated Math and Science (TIMS) Project is pleased to announce an
online professional development initiative, the "Math Trailblazers Electronic
Learning Community: Focus on Assessment." This initiative will explore the
unique structure of the Math Trailblazers assessment program, grades 3-5.
All interactions will take place online. There will be readings, activities,
and discussions, all of which are focused exclusively on the use of Math
Trailblazers in your classroom.
This course introduces the unique structure of the Math Trailblazers
assessment program, grades 3-5 and is open to teachers in at least their second
year using Math Trailblazers. All interactions will take place online. We begin
with the study of the philosophy and design of the assessment program in Math
Trailblazers. It includes many Web resources, is interactive and encourages
much discussion among participants of concepts, ideas and strategies for sharpening
the focus on assessment focused exclusively on the use of Math Trailblazers
in the classroom.
