This family form is growing and receiving considerable attention from policy makers, social service providers and researchers. New Public Health Management Online Certificate Program from UIC The University of Illinois at Chicago Public Health Management online certificate program prepares individuals to lead public health organizations, programs and agencies. Learn how to identify and implement the core functions of management (planning, organizing, controlling and leading), design and conduct a strategic planning process, design and utilize budgets, and manage resources effectively—all in the context of a public health organization. New e-Government Online Certificate Program from UIC Make effective use of government technology to achieve results with UIC’s e-Government online certificate program. This certificate is earned upon successful completion of three (of five available) courses. Depending on how you tailor the program, you will gain an understanding of how new technologies impact the organization, general and project management practices, geographic information systems (GIS), database management and Web design, and technology policies. Elluminate Recognizes UIS UIS is among 11 institutions in the U.S. and Canada recently selected as 2008 Centers of Excellence by Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and web collaboration solutions. The Center of Excellence program recognized this university's "progressive approach to change" by implementing Elluminate Live! in creative ways. Specifically, UIS has brought online and on-campus initiatives together, saved time and resources, and "effected powerful cultural change," said Shari McCurdy Smith, associate director of the UIS Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning.
